What to prepare

  • Copy fields: product name, a one-line tagline, a short and a long description, category and tags, pricing model, contact email. LinkPing renders the right variant per form from your product brief, and never invents a fact that is not on file.
  • Logo and screenshots: many forms require an upload. Your agent can see which ones are on file but cannot upload them for you, so add them once under your product.
  • A public page to link to: the URL you want listed, plus any landing URLs per angle.
  • A mailbox you can read: some directories send a confirmation link or code.
  • Extension specifics: the store listing URL, a short purpose statement, the permissions it asks for and why, screenshots at the store's required sizes, and a privacy policy URL.

Pitfalls to check before you submit

  • Badge requirements: some free listings only go live if you place the directory's badge on your own site. Each library entry says whether one is wanted; the badge kit helps you place it.
  • Nofollow links: a listing can be real and still carry rel="nofollow". Filter by the dofollow column, or run the dofollow checker.
  • Paid-only listings: a free form that ends in a payment wall is handed back to you; LinkPing never pays on your behalf.
  • "Submitted" is not "listed": a confirmation page is a claim. LinkPing marks a listing live only after its daily check finds a real link to your product on the listing page.
  • Dead and zombie sites: the library marks offline directories so they are not queued.

FAQ

Are there directories only for Chrome extensions?

The library has no extension-specific tag. It has extension and app stores (category app store) and many general launch sites. Check each directory page for what it accepts.

Should I list on the Chrome Web Store first?

Your store listing is usually the page you want people to land on, so having it live first gives other directories a URL to link to.

Can LinkPing publish to the Chrome Web Store?

No. Store publishing has its own review and account steps that belong to you. LinkPing helps with the surrounding directory listings.

Do extension stores give backlinks?

A store page links back to the developer site; the dofollow column shows what LinkPing observed for each.
