How do I automate directory submissions with an AI agent (Claude Code / Cursor)?

An AI agent can fill submission forms for you, but only the sites that need no account, no captcha and no payment are reliably automatable. As of 2026-10-20, 50 of 410 directories in LinkPing's library are free with no account, and 130 of 410 require a login.

  1. Prepare one product record. Name, URL, tagline, short and long description, category, logo, screenshots, contact email.
  2. Choose targets by automatability. Use the status and account fields in LinkPing's checked library rather than a raw list.
  3. Let the agent fill forms, then review. Agents can misread fields or hit a captcha; keep a person in the loop for the final send.
  4. Track results. Record the listing URL and status for each directory so you can follow up and fix rejections.

LinkPing offers an agent plugin (Claude Code and MCP) and a Chrome extension that use the same checked library, category-based copy generation and submission tracking, so an agent can look up which directories to use and log each submission.

Frequently asked questions

Is it allowed to automate submissions?

Check each directory's terms. Automated, high-volume or fake submissions can get you blocked.

Will an agent solve captchas?

It should not be used to bypass them. Handle captchas yourself.
