How much does DR go up after submitting to 50 directories?

There is no reliable number: DR depends on the quality of the sites linking to you, not on how many directories you submit to, and LinkPing has not yet measured DR before and after submissions. What the library does show, as of 2026-10-20, is that the median DR of the 410 directories with a DR value is 56, and the DR bands below show how wide the spread is.

Domain Rating is computed from the number and strength of referring domains. A new site with 50 more referring domains from low-DR pages usually sees a small change, while one link from a high-DR site can matter more than a dozen small ones. Counted links also include nofollow links, which Ahrefs treats differently from dofollow ones.

If a vendor promises a specific DR increase from a number of submissions, ask for before-and-after data from named sites. Without it, the figure is a sales claim.

Data pending. LinkPing does not yet have enough submission records to publish before-and-after DR changes for submitted sites, and we will not estimate it. LinkPing is measuring this; results will be published in the monthly Directory Index at /data once the sample is large enough to be meaningful.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good DR for a new SaaS?

There is no target; new sites start near zero. Focus on relevant referring domains rather than a number.

Does DR affect Google rankings?

DR is an Ahrefs metric, not a Google signal. It is a useful proxy for a site's link profile only.
