What percentage of directory submissions actually get approved?

LinkPing does not yet have enough tracked submissions to publish an approval rate, and quoting one without data would mislead. What the library shows, as of 2026-10-20, is how many directories need an account (130 of 410) or payment (22 of 410) before a listing can even be reviewed.

Common reasons for rejection

  • The product category does not match the directory.
  • The site is thin, under construction, or the pricing/pitch is unclear.
  • The description is promotional or copied from elsewhere.
  • The directory expects a badge, account or paid slot you did not complete.
Data pending. LinkPing does not yet have enough submission records to publish approval rates by directory and category, and we will not estimate it. LinkPing is measuring this; results will be published in the monthly Directory Index at /data once the sample is large enough to be meaningful.

Frequently asked questions

How can I raise my chance of approval?

Pick directories that match your category, write a clear unique description, and make sure the site works before submitting.

Do directories tell you when you are rejected?

Many do not. That is why tracking each submission and checking back matters.
